        TIPS TO MAXIMIZE YOUR PROFITS

 PROMOTE YOUR EVENT

Promote the campaign in your community with printed signs posted around the neighborhood and in grocery                   stores. For a larger campaign, try to advertise on social media, websites, newspapers, radio or TV. Purchase an ad

in the community newspaper, or post an announcement in your group’s newsletter. Know why your organization

is fundraising and tell people why when you ask them for their support.

SELLING IS EASY!

Sell the chocolate bars to people you know first - friends, family and neighbors. Have the parents take the boxes

of chocolate to work to sell, or even set up shop in front of a local grocery store on a weekend to get members of

the community to support your cause! Also, ask local businesses to take a box to help your organization sell.

Remember to keep chocolate away out of heat to maintain its quality.

 COLLECT THE MONEY

Set a deadline and communicate it to all participants. Have the money returned to the campaign leader by the

deadline. We provide Collection Envelopes for your Teams/Classes along with Posters, Goal Charts, etc.

 PROVIDE SELLERS WITH PRIZES!

Fundraising can be an educational and rewarding experience for everyone. Your participants will feel the pride

of accomplishing the goals through teamwork! To help motivate sellers, you can recognize everyone who

participates and acknowledge exceptional individual efforts with prizes. Your WFC sales representative can

suggest prize options that will work best for your group.

  SAFE SELLING PRACTICES

Always keep safety the top priority of every fundraising campaign. Make sure your participants know and follow

     these safety practices:

       1.   Always sell in the company of others. Use the buddy system or parental supervision.

       2.  Try to sell to people that you already know, like family, friends or neighbors.

       3.  Never enter someone’s home.

       4.  Never carry large amounts of cash.
